I am a senior game developer from Barcelona, Spain. From a young age, I have been captivated by the technology and design behind video games. My journey in the industry began by creating mods for games such as Counter Strike and Half Life, igniting a lifelong pursuit of understanding how video games work. This curiosity led me to study Computer Science, followed by a Master’s in Video game Development at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF). I truly enjoy graphics and engine programming, where I always try to understand the low level first to better understand the high level. Working with 3D game engines, I have developed a deep technical proficiency and an ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams. I started my career in the game industry as a Technical Artist being a bridge between artists and programmers conducting research to improve visuals, optimize workflows and enhance the overall gaming experience. After a few years, I had the opportunity to co-found my own company, Baby Robot Games, where I served as the Technical Director for five years, leading the technical team on the development of Ereban: Shadow Legacy, a multi platform video game made with Unity. Although my primary role was to overview the technical direction by leading graphics, gameplay, and tools programming, founding my own company has given me a much broader perspective on the video game industry. I love to share knowledge of game development, making another of my passions to teach. I’ve given lectures at many different institutions, and I am a currently teaching at UOC University.
